Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you all have fun! Today I dressed up at work as a cat. Not the most original costume, but hey it was fun! I have to blog about the funniest costume I saw at work. This lady dressed up as a FAT old lady, wig and all. She had a sign that said "Lost dog, reward." When she turned around, a stuffed dog was inbetween her HUGE fake butt cheeks. Hilarious, right?!! hahaha. Have a good one!

You've got mail!

I love mail. I love packages from my mom (or from anyone for that matter), letters from my friends, cards, e-mail, anything except bills. Recently, I got a nice surprise in the mail: A free 3 week gym membership to Anytime Fitness. This free promotion includes a fitness profile at the beginning of the 21 weeks, a fitness profile at the end, and getting to meet with a trainer, all for FREE! My first appointment with the trainer is this Tuesday at 8:30. I am going to go in early for work, leave for the appointment and come back after. I've only worked with a trainer once before and I'm nervous that I am not in the shape that I should be. The one thing that is really hard for me is running. I have gotten better at running, but it is still one of the hardest workouts for me to do. I would much rather work on the eliptical, ride the bikes, or lift weights. Is there anything I could do to make running easier for me? The only thing that has seemed to work so far is to get on a treadmill right in front of a T.V., turn my ipod on, put a towel over the timer and not pay too much attention to how tired I am.

Murderers

Josh and I are murderers. Yep. We have a 52 gallon fish tank and every time we bring new fish home, all the fish in our tank die. I want to give up getting fish but Josh is determined to keep these things alive. The problem is that a lot of stores have fish infected with ick. It's hard to tell in the store whether they have it or not because the lighting isn't always great. We have gotten them from Wal-Mart (although that is a given that they will die), Petco and Petsmart and no luck. I'm worried that if we get them from a specialty store like McKee's that they will just die anyways. Has anybody ever had any luck with not killing fish?

Gratitude

Can I just say I have the best husband in the world? Here are just a few things that I love about Josh:
1. He will go completely out of his way every day to make sure that I am happy.
2. He likes to sing with me in the car.
3. He is a great help to his mom.
4. He gives great back massages.
5. We love to be goofy together.
6. He loves little kids and will be a great dad someday.
7. He surprises me all the time (with big things and small things).
8. He always thinks of my needs and wants before his.
9. He is always the one to make me get out of bed on Sunday and go to church.
10. He is one of the hardest working people I know.
11. He is good at saving money and budgeting.
12. I just love him! He is awesome!
I hope everyone is just as happy being married as we are!

Now if only he liked having his picture taken!!

Tagged

Here's how to play:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog. (I don't know how to "link" my tagger, but it's Melanie on my sidebar).
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs. (Again, I do not know how to do this).
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog. (I probably won't do this either).

1. I LOATHE Pork Chops! I will not touch one, order one in a restaurant, or even consider making them. I think its all the chewy fat on the sides. I don't like the taste much either. I HATE them. In fact, if any peice of meat has fat on it, I used to not even touch it. I drove my mom nuts. I just cut around the fat now, but Pork Chops are just gross to me still.

2. I enjoy looking at gross pictures, and when I say gross pictures, I mean surgery pictures, accident pictures, etc. When someone at work says "EW! They took a picture of this guy's bullet wound!" I am the first to run and look at it.

3. When I was younger, I was obsessed with the lining on my socks to go over a certain part of my toes. I changed my underwear at least 3 times a day. My pants had to be skin tight but my shirts could be any size. I hated loose things. I even had dreams about things being out of order and me not being able to fix them. It drove me nuts.

4. Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love the fall season, its an excuse to decorate around my house and office, dress up and just have fun for a whole month. I love watching the scary movies and going to haunted houses. And the candy is great too in between kids coming to the door! ;)

5. "House" is one of my favorite TV shows along with the shows of families with a freakishly large amout of children.

6. My biggest pet peeve is when people complain. I don't mind it a lot of its the first complaint I've heard, but when someone complains about something over and over again it drives me NUTS!

7. Lastly, my newest hobby is snowboarding. I LOVE IT! I can't wait to go again this year! :)

And I tag...7 people that want to do it! I know that's not how its supposed to be "done" but that's the way I'm doing it.

Nature lovers

This weekend was pretty uneventful for Josh and I. Yesterday, Josh worked and so I watched conference and cleaned until he got home. He got a new gun for hunting season so we took it out and "test shot" it. It is working really well so this weekend when he goes hunting everything should go smoothly. I really liked listening to conference this time and heard a bunch of the talks that I listened to.

Our furnace hasn't been working but one of Josh's friends came over and fixed the problem (it was with our thermostat). So, we were really grateful that we didn't have to pay 100 dollars for someone to come out and tell us that!

Today after we watched conference we went out for a drive. It's one of our favorite things to do on Sundays. We were looking around for some good hunting spots this weekend and we saw a ton of deer! As we were heading out of the hills, we saw two dark spots. We got our binoculars out and saw that there were two moose walking! We thought that was pretty cool. We continued out of the hills and a guy in a truck stopped us. He asked us if we had seen any bears around that day. We said no, and he told us that he and his buddy were chased out to their truck by a bear the night before and they were up there tonight with their bear tags. So...I don't think Josh will go hunting there this year!
