Snow Day

So I was pretty bummed that I had to go back to work today after my awesome Christmas break. So, Kim and I decided to take a little break during the day. Right outside my window there is this huge pile of snow that looked like a lot of fun. So, we grabbed anything flat we could find in the office and took a ride! Enjoy the pics!

Christmas!

Josh and I had a great Christmas this year. I feel like I owe people photos, so I am going to mostly post photos. I will be posting more as I got the awesomest digital camera ever for Christmas! I love it! Look it up- Its a Fugifilm Finepix S2000HD.

Here is our tree!

This is Josh giving me a fake smile. Oh well, at least I got him to smile! He hates pictures! This is at his mom's house.

I figured I should put a pic of myself in. I spent all this time taking pictures and I didn't have anyone take any of me! I tried to take a picture of myself and I never get all of my head in or the picture was crooked, so I went in the bathroom where I could see the image in the mirror in front of me.

Here is Josh's Lego Set I bought him! He loves it.

I also got Josh a muzzleloader. The gun rack is from his mom.

I figured I would post this. This is one of the pictures of our back bathroom that the dog destroyed!

This is the cute little table my mom bought us for Christmas.

My Aunt Cindy made this (I'm assuming because she is so good at these things) and gave it to us for Christmas. I love it!

I hope everyone had as good of a Christmas as we did! Happy New Year too!

Fun Christmas Survey

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper. It takes longer to open and you can sit there wondering what it is longer. I have become an awesome gift wrapper and love adding ribbon to every package! My husband thinks I'm nuts.
2. Artificial or real tree? I think artificial would be easier but there is nothing like a real tree at Christmas time. Josh and I have a new tradition of going up the second weekend of December and cutting down our own tree. It's fun except he is really picky and will want to drive all day to find the BEST one.
3. When do you put up a tree? The second week in December. Real trees don't do so well when you have them up a long time.
4. When do you take it down? Right after Christmas.
5. Do you like eggnog? Yes! I have to dilute it with milk because it is so dang thick!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? The homemade barbie house my dad made for me and my sisters. Mom, whatever happened to that?
7. Do you have a nativity scene? One. It spins and lights up and its made of glass. I think it's pretty cool.
8. Mail or email cards? Mail!
9. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Hmmm...I don't know if I have ever really had a bad gift.
10. Favorite Christmas movie? “Home Alone 2”
11. When do you start shopping for Christmas? First week in December unless I am going to my parents house for Thanksgiving and then I do it in November.
12. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? I don't think so.
13. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Hillshire Farms smoked sausage!
14. Lights on the trees? Yes
15. Favorite Christmas song? For the REAL meaning of Christmas - O Holy Night. For the Santa version of Christmas - Rockin around the Christmas tree (the version that is in Home Alone 1) or Grandma got run over by a reindeer.
16. Worst Christmas song? “The 12 Days of Christmas”—I HATE the repetition!!!
17. Travel at Christmas or staying home? Traveling to my mother-in-laws.
18. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer? Yep! You've got Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen...but do you recall the most famous reindeer of all? Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer...
19. Angel on the tree top or a star? Star!
20. Open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas day? Christmas day.
21. Most annoying thing about this time of year? All the stupid drivers that can't decide what lane they wan't to be in or people who don't speak English that can't read road signs!
22. Favorite thing about the Christmas season? That it is such a family holiday!
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? Silver and Blue
24. Favorite food for Christmas dinner? Ham
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? A puppy! lol.
I tag anyone who wants to play along! Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas is coming...

Well, I finally have a minute to sit down and write on this thing! Man, last month I was so good and in December, it all fell apart. If you read the blog right before this one, you would have read that we just got a dog. Well, we don't have her anymore. We really only took her in to help Josh's mom out as she has THREE rottweilers. Last Saturday, Josh and I came home to her in our living room. We had put her in the bathroom (mind you, she is a HUGE rottweiler). She had figured out how to open the door, and had gone ALL through our garbarge, rotten bananas and all, and had strewn everything along our living room floor. We will have to get new carpet because she tore up bottles of fish chemicals and they left huge blue stains on our semi-white carpet. Ugh. Well, we learned that we need to get a door on our bathroom that locks from the outside. The next day (which was Sunday) I went to the store to get a new lock. I didn't think I was being horrible in shopping on Sunday, as we would have to leave her in our bathroom on Monday until I would have had a chance to get to the store. So, I figured it was an emergency. I put the new lock on the door so the bathroom locked from the outside and she wouldn't be able to get out. Monday night, Josh got home and saw that she had torn our bathroom to shreds. The first layer of drywall had been ripped out of our bathroom, along with the door frame and the white paint scraped off of our door. We decided she was done being inside. We would take her inside to sleep at night but she would be in a kennel during the day. We went to Rockland this weekend and took her with us, and my mother in law could see that we were so stressed about keeping her that she just took her back. We were trying to do a nice thing and take the dog (she was outside all day and all night and had no one to play with ever) but my mother in law said that she would take her in at nights and give her a little more attention than she has been. Overall, I'm glad with the end result. I don't really like animals but I don't think they should be mistreated. If we ever get a dog again, it will be a puppy and it will be a small dog! Now to replace the carpet in my living room and the drywall in my bathroom.....

On a lighter note, I am DONE Christmas shopping. Well, almost done. I just have to get stocking stuffers for Josh and help him finish getting gifts for his side of the family. We decorated our tree today and got all the Christmas decorations out. I hope everyone has a happy holiday! :)

We suck!

Yeah, I have been bad at blogging lately. Our lives have been SOOOO busy! Added work stress with our "go live" with a new system in February, a new family addition (a dog), Christmas parties, Christmas shopping and trying to get the tree and lights up, with barely enough time to make dinner. I will fill in with the details later!! Happy Holidays and be stress free! I'm sure trying!
