Continued from the previous blog.
To illustrate my point, I have a little game that I think is funny. Enjoy.

Question of the day...
If there are 25 treadmills in a room and they are all open except for one (and I happened to be on that one), do you get on the treadmill right next to the person on one? No. You go to the one farthest away from the other person in the gym. Am I the only one that knows this rule?

Recent Happenings
This weekend was Josh's birthday. We had a lot of fun! I got him an xbox live subscription and 50 bucks to buy bullets with. He came out with a lot of money from relatives and his mom got him a bipod and a sling for his gun. He was pretty happy. We had a lot of fun too because we got some great puppy sitters for Max on Saturday! We had to deal with him being hyper all day today because we had only asked two people to let him out yesterday so he was cooped up for quite a while. He refuses to pee or poop in his crate so they didn't have any messes to clean up.
Josh's dad got us a treadmill and will bring it up to Utah for us. I'm pretty excited to have one! Josh and I have been looking at getting one but while we both had free memberships to the school gym we really couldn't warrant buying one. I'm excited to use it and not have to leave my house during the wee hours in the morning.
Lastly, all last week, Max has been sick. We figured it was from us changing his food, but he got worse so I took him to the vet again. The vet did a parvo test, and I was so happy when he came out to my car and told me it was negative. He recommended I buy a bag of the old dog food and mix it with ours for a while. He also recommended that I buy plain yogurt and add it to his food. He is feeling so much better! So for anyone getting a puppy in the future, plain yogurt helps them out a lot!
Anyways, that's what's new with us!

We survived Day 1!
Well, a lot of my posts are probably going to be about Max, since there is not much else new in my life! When I picked Max up yesterday, the breeders told me to prepare for a long night of him crying and me getting no sleep. They told me not to get up and comfort him, just let him cry and fall back asleep on his own, so that is what Josh and I did. I was ready for the worst. Max fell asleep around 9:30 last night and didn't wake up until 2:30! He cried for about 10 miniutes and we went right back to sleep. He woke up again around 5:00 and cried for a bit and went back to sleep again after 10 minutes or so. He woke up again at 6:30 and was up for the whole morning. :( But for the first night I don't think that was bad at all!
I took Max to the vet this morning and he got a clean bill of health. I really liked the vet I took him to. Everyone at work recommended him and the breeders recommended him as well. All the vet assistants came and held Max during his exam, but I can't blame them since he's so darn cute! Max also decided that it would be fun to pee on the exam table. I was told by Dr. Bramwell not to take him around other dogs until his parvo vaccines are finished. He got the first shot this Thursday but it's a series of vaccines every 3 weeks until they are 4 mos. old.
So everything is going okay! Potty training is going to be interesting, and he HATES his crate. He would much rather be held in his blanket or played with. He is a pretty calm puppy though. He loves his hedgehog and chewing on his nylabone. He also likes to chew on things he's not supposed to but so far we have caught him as he has started and we let him know that isn't okay. But we love him!

We're ready!
Josh and I are officially ready for little Max to get here tomorrow! (And yes, his name is officially Max). We got a heck of a deal on a crate! We were looking at prices of crates around 160 dollars and we got this baby for 79! It has a door on its front and its side, and it has a partition for when you have a puppy and want to limit the size of the crate. It will be a little big for him when he's full grown but that's okay.
I already have his blanket and his "safe" toys (those he doesn't need to be supervised with) on his bed side of the crate. I pick him up tomorrow after work and I'm so excited!!!! :)

Here is his crate.

Here is Max's little hedgehog toy -"Sonic."

Family Addition
Yep that's right! Josh and I are adding a new little bundle of joy to our family - a brand new puppy! Josh and I decided that we are at the point in our lives where we still aren't ready for kids, but we are ready for a dog! This Friday we will be bringing home an Olde English Bulldogge puppy. We picked out a little male (well, I picked him out. Josh let me decide since he thought all of them were cute). He is mostly white with black markings on his ears. The left ear is mostly black with a small white stripe and the other ear is mostly white with black spots. He is so funny and so cute! When we went to go pick the puppies out, he came right up to me. I held him and he just fell right asleep in my arms. He is a little cuddler and a love! He's also the fattest puppy! This week we are going to pick out puppy stuff like a crate, baby gates, toys, food, etc. I am taking him to the vet on Saturday morning to make sure everything is okay. For names, I am thinking of Max or Chance. Any other name suggestions? I will be sure to post pictures of him this Friday! :)
