I always have different experiences at Home Improvement stores. I used to work at Home Depot so I usually stop there first. I usually find that the people there are more knowledgeable than the staff at Lowes. However I can always FIND someone in Lowes. Josh and I had to buy a new washer and were also looking for either a deep or upright freezer. We stopped at Lowe's first because we needed some more supplies for the hardwood we put in our house. We found some pretty decent prices but decided to go to Home Depot before deciding anything. We also had a Home Depot gift card for over 200 dollars so we knew we needed to get one of our big items there.
The freezers were WAY better priced at Lowes. We were going to go back over there and buy just our washer at Home Depot, but the store associate marked down one of their expensive upright freezers for us by 20 percent without question or calling Lowes.
I think we will stick with Home Depot for a while....
